Even The Drive Was Amazing
Though admittedly, Kate got a little antsy on the drive out to
Monument Valley (it was more than 300 miles from where we
were staying), it was well worth the trip.
If you have not been, we highly recommend making the effort.
No where in the world are there formations quite like it and
during the summer, you can't beat it for dramatic skis where
you can see for miles and watch the thunder storms all around
you.
We Made It!
We were all smiles when we came around the bend and
realized that we had finally made it to the real thing - it had
been a spectacular show so far.
It's A Train!!!
We could hardly believe how much this looked like an
engine and couldn't help but think of Kate's mom and how
much she would have loved to have seen this - not to
mention our nephew Aidan!
The Picture Post Card
Brent bought a postcard at Four Corners of this exact shot -
so as soon as we came around the bend and saw it, we
had to stop to get a photo of our own.
Mexican Hat
This boulder perched atop a rock formation is quite
extraordinary to see - it's easy to see why it has the nick
name that it does.
