A Walk In The Park...
St. Louis is known for its historical botanical gardens - and they
certainly did not disappoint. All the daffodils and tulips were up
and standing at attention making the place a glorious picture of
color!
We had hoped to see the Chihuly glass-sculpture exhibit, but
unfortunately it doesn't officially start until the end of April - but
we were able to see one of his pieces hanging in the entrance
- and it was amazing.
Chihuly
After marveling at the works in the Bellagio
Hotel last year, we were equally as
impressed by this piece that hangs in the
entrance hall to the gardens.
The Old Basilica
We also ventured out to find the city's historical basilica
which rivalled anything we had seen in Europe.
Considering we were dressed in jeans, neither of us are
Catholic and it was the day before Easter, we decided not
to venture inside. Maybe next time.
