New Soccer Uniforms, Help From A Friend, The Ice Gets
Redone For The New Stars Logo, Blood Test, New Hot
Wheels And Our Best-Gal At School
Soccer season starts in three weeks and we can hardly wait.
Daddy will be coaching again this fall and so we headed off
on Saturday morning to fetch the new Roadrunner uniforms.
Though Sawyer was set on black uniforms, we got light and
dark blue ones - and this time the shorts match the uniforms,
as opposed to all being black.
Consequently he wore his soccer gear to hockey practice
and after practice, it was tough to put his soccer socks back
on. However, his best pal at hockey (who managed to clock
Sawyer not once, but twice during practice) felt so bad, he
helped soccer get on his socks. We think poor Gavin, who
has just as much energy as our little guy, was both very
remorseful about hitting his pal and was jealous because
he'd have loved to have been going to play soccer as well.
We didn't really have a game to go to but of course we ended
up playing later that day.
The hockey rink has been exciting because the Dallas Stars
have changed their logo so the Dr. Pepper Stars Center has
had to keep up and they melted one of the rinks, re-painted it
and we watched the tedious process of putting the ice back
down - it was very interesting to see.
Trips to Costco are all about the costumes there and we are
having to take pictures every time. Daddy was working on
something this weekend so Mommy took Sawyer on all her
errands. We have secretly purchased his size just in case
they are gone by the time Halloween rolls around.
Sawyer continues to think of his little cousins and this week
he found a hockey stick for Nicolette - last week it was
Natasha. So far we've gotten away with just telling him that
we will buy them hockey sticks when they come to visit -
which we suspect won't be for another 2 decades, if that.
On Monday Sawyer had blood drawn so we could do some
comparisons between what we had in December when we
were first at Brain Balance and now. He did so well that he
got a couple of Hot Wheels which we've been racing with
great excitement this week. There are few things better than
racing against Daddy or Mommy on a tile floor into carpet and
watching a car flip right over!
Sawyer and Addison continue to be an item at school, though
we have heard through her mommy that she may have a new
crush and is a bit concerned that Sawyer wouldn't like it. We
found that about as funny as anything.

It's not easy to put on any clothes when you
