Finnish Coach J.R., Making Friends With The Big Boys'
Dads, A Play Date With The Daulerios, Free Skating With
Mommy, Hockey Sticks For Our Little Cousins, Towel Head
With Daddy And Legos With Our Own Money!

It's the second to the last Hockey 101 class so we took the
opportunity to get a photo with Sawyer's favorite coach - J.R. -
a young Finnish national who could not have been more
thrilled by the Finnish hockey jersey we brought back from
Helsinki for the little guy.  J.R. is known to be tough with all
the other kiddos, but he seems to have a particular soft spot
for Sawyer and is very playful with him - Sawyer adores him.

Sunday we got to hockey early and got a chance to watch
some of the eighteen year olds play.  Sawyer went up to a
host of their dads and enthusiastically introduced himself
asking which player was their son.  The men were so
impressed that they ended up abandoning their sons'
practice and went and watched Sawyer when  Mini Mites
started on the other rink.  They all enjoyed remembering what
it was like when their boys were so young.  It was pretty
heartwarming and Sawyer loved the attention and
encouragement.

We also had a great play date with the Daulerios - Sawyer
always loves going over and playing with Owen and Gracie -
especially given they have so many great toys that are
different from those he has at home.  He particularly liked the
Black and Decker work bench this time.

We had some crazy rain this week and so we got to go
skating with Mommy because we couldn't be outside - no
complaints there.

Finally, we decided to cash in the piggy bank to get the Knight
Lego we have been coveting for ages.  Now we are building it
a little at a time with Daddy to make it last.
