Grandma And Granddad Come,  Despicable Me 2, Hockey
With Daddy, Mini Mites Starts And More Swimming

The weekend started with Grandma and Granddad Sheffield
coming to visit.  They will be here for two weeks while
Mommy and Daddy head off to the Baltic for a cruise they've
wanted to take since before the little tyke was born.

Getting Grandma and Granddad acclimated to the schedule
was certainly not difficult and Grandma stepped in easily with
book time.  On Sunday we had a special treat and went to
see Despicable Me 2.  Sawyer has the first one on his iPad
and he enjoyed this one - even if he did get a bit restless
here and there.  The photo to the left is significant in that we
have only seen him run in terror from anyone dressed in
costume - somehow or another a Minion was not a problem.

Daddy got out on the ice with Sawyer for "Stick Time" - the
first time the two have ever played together on the ice.  Of
course father had no problem getting right in the groove
though one can still count the number of times he's been ice
skating on two hands - it might be one hand at that.   Sawyer
was utterly thrilled as one might imagine.

Once Mom and Dad left for Europe the grandparents wasted
no time getting Sawyer into the pool for some summer fun
and into the arcade to stay cooled off.

But best of all this Thursday was our first Mini Mite practice
where coach Ray from Hockey 101 pinch hit for coach Rick
Looker who is supposed to be with us on Sunday.

Year 4 Week 39
Grandma And Granddad Both Understand
How Important Swimming Is With A Pool
Sawyer certainly doesn't mind getting in and
cooling off in this Texas heat!
Grandma Knows This Better Than Anyone
Sawyer loved having the time with his
grandparents.  Grandma Sheffield knows how
to read a book and wait for feedback.
Posing With The Minion
We were very surprised to see that Sawyer
would stand next to a costumed creature - it's
a first for him, he usually runs away.

Daddy On The Ice With A Stick!
It was so exciting to play hockey with Dad for the first time.
