Hair Cuts At Home, (Very Hot) Soccer With Daddy, Fire
Works At Grapevine Lake, Swimming To Cool Off,
Monster's Inc. With Aunt Stephanie And Uncle Craig And
Stick Time With A Goalie And The Big Kids!

Brandy, Brent and Sawyer's hair dresser, to whom Sawyer
has been going since his first hair cut at 9 months, is
between salons right now so she came to the house to cut
everyone's hair - even Mommy's. It was actually quite a fun
little afternoon and Sawyer insisted on showing her his room
and all his Legos and cars.

After that, we had promised Sawyer that we would take him to
see the fireworks which are fired off every Friday night during
the summer over Grapevine Lake at 9:35 (coincidentally, the
exact same time that Disney lets them off back in CA.)  It was
a gorgeous evening (with very few bugs!) and Sawyer got to
dress himself - as you will see below - Superman and blue
camouflage jammies (to our defense, the camouflage was
part of a set, by the way).

Saturday we got to go to hockey and then met up with Uncle
Craig and Aunt Stephanie to see the new Monsters University
movie and have some supper.  They were nice enough to
bring him some cars so that the wait for the food wasn't so
long.

Sunday we went out and played some soccer - though not for
long as the heat was oppressive and the bugs prevalent; we
decided to go home and opt for the pool instead.

Stick time on Monday afternoon was the biggest treat of all.
When Sawyer got there, he found some older kids who were
on the ice and were nice enough to play with him a bit - but
best of all, there was a goalie!  "A real goalie Mommy, and I
got to shoot against him!"  We were impressed by how kind
the others were in trying to include him in their make-shift
practice.

Ahhh...This Is More Like It
We continue to be intentional about getting
Sawyer out in the pool so his swimming skills
improve - he certainly doesn't mind.

We chose the guest bathroom for space and
ease of clean up.  Who knew hair dressers
made house calls!

This was an incredible treat for our little guy - he couldn't
believe he got to play with a real goalie - the older kids
were nice - including him as much as possible.
