Father's Day, Hockey, Daddy Gets Some Hockey Gear, Ear
Plugs Are In And Swimming Every Day
Hockey 101 continues with lots of excitement and fun.
Sawyer is the smallest in the class and struggles with the
hand-eye coordination and following the drills, but he's by far
the best skater. Probably part of the issue is he's skating
faster than his hands can keep up. Regardless, he's having
a blast, so who cares?
Father's Day was especially fun because Daddy went and
got a helmet and gloves so that he can start playing with
Sawyer during Parent/Child hockey times. Sawyer was
thrilled to be able to come along and try on the goalie
helmets in particular because they are always covered in
spectacular graphics.
In an effort to accelerate his swimming skills we have put
him in a two week intensive course where he swims every
day. The fitted ear plugs finally came in and have been
invaluable as he is no longer in pain. He actually wears
them voluntarily because he can tell the difference. We are
also making sure that he's getting in the pool at home and
with that must come some fun toys like the Super Soaker.
Nothing is better than a huge water gun - and we are out at
all times of the day - even 7:00 in the morning in our jammies.
