TOTs Performance, 6th Floor Museum, Baseball, Home
Sick, New Hockey Jersey And Bubble Baths
Saturday started with the Teams of Tomorrow (TOTs) year-
end performance at the local senior high. In this
extracurricular at his school, we thought Sawyer was learning
basketball but it turns out he learned about all sorts of other
things instead like colors, the seasons, the planets, etc.
Hmm...sounds like the rest of preschool to us...
Overall we had a spectacular weekend with very good friends
of ours, Stephanie and Scott Christensen, coming into town.
It's hard to believe we don't have any photos of them.
However, here you will find some pics of Sawyer's first visit to
the 6th Floor Museum - which is at the Book Repository in
which Lee Harvey Oswald stood when he shot President
Kennedy. It's a favorite destination of Dallas tourists and a
worthwhile place to go. We were impressed with how well
Sawyer did but he was helped by Daddy's phone, a "Peppa
Pig" cartoon and another little girl at the museum who also
happened to like the program.
That afternoon we also drove over to the big cattle drive
sculptor near city hall and there we got a pic with Daddy and
Sawyer being the "i" in BIG D.
In the evening we dropped our friends off at the Ranger's
game and we went home and watched it on TV as a family.
Brent, aided by the iPhone, was able to capture a pic of our
cozy scene.
Later in the week Sawyer was sent home from school with a
fever - the first in 2 years! After a long nap and some good
Tylenol, he made a speedy recovery - helped along by a
goofy daddy, some seriously big bubbles in the bath and a
new hockey jersey from Ms. Suzan who went to Canada and
brought him back a Montreal Habs (Les Habitants) size XXS.

Dad was being silly with a towel on his head

Showing Off His New Habs Jersey
Suzan got Sawyer this jersey on her trip to
Montreal. The team is the Montreal
Canadiens, but they are known as the Habs.

The City of Dallas has a campaign tied into the nickname
Big D where they have these big B and G letters and you
put the "I" in BIG.
