Mother's Day, Pippin, Toys And More Skating!
We celebrated a fantastic Mother's Day where Mommy got a
gift card to a local spa, some gorgeous flowers we planted in
the garden and a Hello Kitty balloon! We will give you one
guess what Sawyer picked out himself and was most excited
about. (It would take Mommy few months to use her
spa-day, but wow was she not disappointed...)
On Mother's Day, in an effort to continue to let Daddy's eye
heal, Sawyer and Kate went skating. We were fortunate to
meet "Ms. Jen," a friend of Kate's who also plays hockey and
she took a great pic of Mother and Son - see below. It's one
of Kate's favorites of the year.
Kate continues to take advantage of her time off to spend
with Sawyer and have more "Mommy and Me" days - which
usually means skating during the day, mid-week. The only
problem is that can also coincide with nap time. So we either
need to let him snooze in the parking lot when we get there,
or know that he will poop out pretty quickly. Regardless, his
skating has improved dramatically and he's even pushing
himself to go backwards!
Pippin is up and down, but Sawyer is quite supportive and
likes to be at the vet when we take him - even trying to see if
he can help Pip himself.
Finally, a trick we learned at Christmas - take a picture of the
"toy-of-the-moment" and "text" it to Santa Claus - is really
taking off. We find ourselves taking photos of at least a dozen
toys a week. We're working on "it's better to give than to
receive." However, perhaps when one is four, a boy and it's
super hero stuff, the whole giving idea is over rated.

Sawyer And Mom On Mother's Day
