Improving Skating, End of Season For Soccer
And Enjoying Old Toys
The weekend started with Dad venturing out for the first time
in 6 days (since the surgery) for the last game of the soccer
season and to hand out trophies. This time, for the team
photo we were sure to include Peyton Orr's dad, Jason, as
he had been pinch-hitting for Brent during the season with
our various trips to Oklahoma, Albuquerque and of course
this last one with the eye surgery. Though they don't officially
keep score, all the kids know and we went undefeated again
this season. We were, however, sorry that we won't see any
more action until September.
Over the weekend we also were able to get out for some
skating with mom. We have found that Sawyer is a magnet
for anyone on hockey skates as he is first drawn to them and
then they find him pretty funny. You can see a good video of
him playing chase.
Being stuck at home does have its advantages in that we
pulled out some great toys we had not played with in a while
and had a lot of fun. Sawyer is pretty good at amusing
himself for stretches at a time - as long as one is close to
see his action.
