California For Christmas - Hockey Scrimmage, California
Aquarium And The Space Shuttle, And Of Course Time
With Cousins And Presents!!!
It's hard to believe it's already Christmas and time for our trek
back to So. Cal. As always, we had a wonderful time with the
highlight being Sawyer's being afforded the opportunity to
play with his cousins. First he got to play in a hockey
scrimmage with Graham's team where Aidan and Erle did
the coaching - another opportunity to watch a hockey game
from the inside!
Then he helped Granddad clean the pool and we went up to
Los Angeles to the museum that not only has an aquarium
but the Space Shuttle as well! It was a long day because we
knew that we were eventually going to head back to Grandma
and Granddad's house to open presents, but it was well
worth it - we had a blast.
Sawyer still recalls opening presents at the Sheffields from
last year so he was pretty excited about this year and he
certainly wasn't disappointed. It's a very special time.
At the Petrie's Santa made a showing with some goodies in
his stocking as well but best of all was all the cousins - all
five of them - with whom Sawyer played until late in the night.
There were Christmas crackers to be opened, hide and seek
to be played and even some movies to be watched on the
iPad. Our only problem with California holidays is they
always have to come to an end.
