The Last Soccer Game, Water Safety At Swimming, Getting
Blood Drawn For Brain Balance Testing
Finally the last game of the season the Roadrunners got a
run for their money. There was one little girl in particular who
was good and quite aggressive - but when she got in there
and started elbowing kids no one noticed, when Sawyer
does it, little people start flying. He had a difficult time
understanding why he was getting in trouble for it! But at the
end he didn't mind - he got a trophy (as did everyone who
participated). It was lots of fun.
This was the last week of this swim session and so it was
water-safety week where the kids go and jump into the water
in full clothing and they also get to ride in a boat and put on
life jackets and are taught what to do if something goes
wrong. Sawyer always gets quite a kick out of this class. We
have decided just to leave him in swimming year round for
good measure.
On Monday morning Brent took Sawyer to get blood drawn to
see what sensitivities and issues he might have for his Brain
Balance class. We would later find out that he needed to be
taken off of all gluten, dairy, eggs and sugar - it's going to be
interesting for a kid who loves yogurt and ice cream! Fingers
crossed as he continues to be loving but rough with pals at
school.
Finally we visited Santa the first week he hit the Gaylord
Texan and we did so with his pal Peyton. The two of them
had a great time running around and looking at all the trains.
Sawyer visited Santa before Peyton got there so he felt he'd
"handicapped" the situation and was more than willing to
show his pals the ropes about this bearded-dude.
