Trick-Or-Treating, Pie And Papa In Town And Four Year
Check Up
Pie and Papa's friends left the first thing on Sunday morning,
so we had some good one-on-one time with them on
Sunday. We decided to go to the Dallas Arboretum that
currently has a big and rather spectacular Chihuly glass
exhibit that runs through the entire park. When you couple it
with their Fall Theme and a gorgeous day, it made for a lot of
fun.
Of course this week was Halloween, so once again, we went
to our old neighborhood as our current one isn't conducive to
trick-or-treating. It's always fun to go and quite like "old home
week." Sawyer is quite the little scared-e-cat as we was not
interested in going to any of the houses that were "haunted"
or even very Halloween-themed. As soon as there was any
mood lighting or music he was more than happy to skip - if
not actually cross the street. Once again the candy took a
back seat to just the fun of it all.
The following day was his four year check up. It's hard to
believe that after being so sick so often his first 18 months
that he hadn't seen the doctor in a full year. Sawyer got yet
another clean bill of health and he survived the shots with
aplomb, even if the following day he was pretty droopy at
school.
Sawyer is trying to learn how to ride his bike. We are a long
way from taking off the training wheels but at least we are
figuring out the idea of pushing the pedals forward!
