Farmer Day At School, Pie And Papa Come To Visit, The Fall
Festival, A Play Date With Drew And The Start Of Brain
Balance
Farmer Day at school called for a very fun little outfit shown
here. Don't worry, he doesn't have Freddy Kruger hands it's
just an optical illusion with the photo and the shadow cast by
the flash. Sawyer loved riding his hobby horse that morning
as well in his cool duds.
Later that Day Pie and Papa and some of their pals arrived
from Southern California for a wedding, but it was also Pie's
birthday. Sawyer initially wanted to get Pie a princess cake,
until he saw there was an Iron Man option. We ordered the
Iron Man cake but also had to buy the accessories for the
princess cake. However, when we went home we proceeded
to put just about every toy we could (football helmets, Legos,
Star Wars action figures, hockey duckies, etc.) on the cake.
He could not have been more thrilled.
The Fall Festival at school was the equivalent to trick or
treating - except one went around to all the various
classrooms. Sawyer wasn't terribly interested in the candy,
he was far more interested in running around at the "cake
walk" (he couldn't quite get the concept of WALK) in the little
gymnasium and seeing all his friends.
After seeing his pal Drew at his birthday, Sawyer had a
playdate with his Primrose buddy and his brother Jamison
and sister Maya - it was great to visit with Drew's parents who
are just salt of the earth people.
Finally, Sawyer started Brain Balance, a place that works with
kids who have difficulty concentrating at school. Our
exuberant little man is a bit much for the rest of his pals, so
we're hoping this helps. It combines a nutritional program
with sensory training as well as some mild academics. It
was recommended by his teacher Molly at school because
apparently Brain Balance does a lot of teaching and training
for the teachers at Creme. He will have to attend hour-long
classes three days a week for at least the next three months.
We are cautiously optimistic.
