Dad's Out Of Town, Grandma and Granddad Are Here And
Lots Of Soccer and Football
We are quite happy for cooler weather - not just because of
the relief from the heat but with it we have both soccer and
football! Our house is all about sports these days - doesn't
matter which one you are talking about, we are interested
and better yet, we are playing! Sawyer's latest thing is to mix
and match things like his pads from hockey with his football
jerseys and his football and he goes back and forth between
being a "Football guy" or "No, I'm actually a hockey guy that
looks like a football guy."
He adores playing soccer - chasing after a ball on a field
seems to be in his DNA - the whole crowd gets a chuckle out
of his unbridled enthusiasm.
Having Grandma and Granddad here has of course been
fantastic. Even though we had a cold and wet day, Grandma
got Sawyer started on "A Recipe" - it included eggs, and
butter and pepper (all pretend from Grandma from the fridge)
and then of course real crackers, cheerios, Goldfish, red
raisins, water and ice. Sawyer had a ball mixing it and
stirring and making sure nothing "jumped out" while he was
stirring.
Daddy had to be out of town for a few days on business, but
that just makes him coming home all the more sweet.
Sawyer watches football at the baggage claim TV but as
soon as he saw Brent through the window the pigskin was
history!
