New Cleats, Legos, A Gift For "The Boy Peyton" and Cool
Shades

Our biggest news this week is that Sawyer will be starting
soccer in two weeks.  The excitement has started early with
the anticipation of a uniform (with a number on it!) and having
to buy shin guards and best of all cleats!  Dad took Sawyer to
get this done - great bonding time.  But the only cleats that fit
are about as obnoxiously colored as they come.  Sawyer of
course adores them!

Somehow Brent was appointed the coach of Sawyer's team -
the name for which will be decided Saturday the 18th when
the whole team gets together to meet everyone and get their
uniforms.  There is already plenty to do.

Legos continue to have great allure and we ended up getting
a nice Lego set for Sawyer's best pal "The boy Peyton."  Now
that he has moved schools there is a little girl Payton in his
class, so he is very careful to make it clear that he can't wait
to go to "The boy Peyton's birthday party."  Getting that
present has re-energized our already strong affinity for
building things with the famous blocks.

It's August, so naturally it is very hot and very sunny out here
in Texas, Sawyer pulled out his sunglasses the other day
and decided he needed to wear his shades to school.  By the
time he got to school, however, he had already ditched them
in the car.
