Soccer And The Park, A Break From School, Meeting Up
With Dad In San Antonio

We took advantage of the nice weather - that actually turned
out to be pretty darn hot - to go check out the local kids'
soccer fields.  Right next to them there is not only a great
playground but also a big pond where the kids fish.  Sawyer
was particularly fascinated by the latter though he was not
impressed by the smell!

During the week we traded off taking some time so that
Sawyer didn't have to go to school.  He had a ball getting out
of school work and being able to spend his time playing and
go to the Castle Park.  This park is close to us and definitely
a favorite, but it is made of wood and was built in the 80s and
the heat and snow have caused the wood to rot so they are
going to upgrade it so we were wanting to take as much
advantage of it while we can!

Then Sawyer came to work with Kate on Friday so that she
and Sawyer could leave straight from there and meet up with
Brent in San Antonio where he was at Advancial's long range
planning session.

Sawyer got to ride in the back of our friends' car without his
car seat briefly because we had neglected to bring one with
us - we had totally forgotten.  It was nice to join Brent at his
LRP after having 3 years where we missed it when Sawyer
was so young.

The weather was gorgeous - though very
warm already and we headed out to kick the
ball around a bit.

This park is being torn down and rebuilt, so
this was one of our last opportunities to play
