Sawyer's Third Dentist Visit, Park, New Big Hockey Stick
We are thinking it's not luck, but rather a good dentist that
made it a "hat trick" for the third dentist's visit and the third
time he was pronounced "best patient of the day." The fact
that there are trains to watch going through the rooms, trains
to play with on a big train table and then of course a train to
play on outside certainly doesn't hurt! This time Sawyer even
stood for x-rays.
Besides the dentist we managed to get ourselves to the
castle park - a.k.a. Bicentennial Park here in Southlake. It's
got great stuff and Sawyer had a ball playing on all the slides,
platforms and ramps.
Otherwise Sawyer has taken to being able to get dressed
entirely by himself - including his socks. We're pretty tickled
but nothing like our little man is. It's lots of fun to watch.
Beyond that he's being our perfect three year old in that he's
not terribly keen on going to bed - what self respecting little
boy is? We've taken to allowing him to take a flashlight to
bed for amusement - but we find it more amusing when we
catching him fast asleep with the light still blaring.
Finally, Sawyer got a big boy hockey stick and he could not be
more excited. His daddy is teaching him how to hold it
properly and he is loving using it with his new hockey pads.
Little by little we are building our own little hockey player -
goodness knows, his enthusiasm for the game hasn't
waned in the least - it seems to continue to grow!
