Main Event With Dad, Skating With Aidan, Christmas Party
At Pie's
Sawyer and Daddy had a great "boys'" afternoon at Main
Event together. Sawyer had a great time playing the video
games, the air hockey, but possibly most of all he loved
riding the "horsies." It's a horse racing video game where
one gets to be the jockey. Sawyer loved it.
Later in the week we traveled to Southern California to be
with family for Christmas. Sawyer did very well on the plane -
all things considered - helped along by videos and pictures
of himself on our phones. He has now become big enough
that he's a pretty eagle eye for his luggage and is even willing
to help "carry" it. That was a genuine help with four bags this
time - between the presents and all his hockey gear.
That brings us to quite the treat for Christmas, Sawyer got a
chance to skate not just with one set of cousins but with both!
At the hockey rink they also had a mini Zamboni and of
course a pick-up hockey game that was absolutely
mesmerizing for our little man. Kate's brother Erle was nice
enough to pick him up and the two of them watched together.
Besides that we had a great time at Pie's annual Christmas
open house where Santa (a.k.a. John Gardner) makes an
appearance every year. This year Sawyer got a fire truck (is
there anything better in the world?)
