A JumpZone Remix, Riding The Vehicles At The Outlet Mall,
And Visiting The Man In Red...SANTA!
Our week started with fun! Namely we went back to
JumpZone - where Sawyer had his birthday party - and let
him and his pal Peyton run around for two and a half hours
straight - they hardly sat down and Sawyer left drenched in
sweat. Needless to say they both slept quite well that night.
The next day we ventured out to the Allen Outlet Malls looking
for some shoes for tennis for Dad, but what we did find were
all the great vehicles to ride along the way. We managed to
make it out of there having only gone through $2 in quarters -
which is 4 rides - we figure we got off pretty easily!
In order to get a head start on things - and of course to miss
all the crowds - we went to visit Santa at The Gaylord Texans
Hotel on Wednesday. It was perfect timing - there wasn't
another person in line - in fact there wasn't another person
there. Santa was very patient, very kind and chatted with
Sawyer very sweetly, but our little man would have no part of
sitting on this stranger's lap - though he knew full well who
Santa was, and his importance, etc.
Thus, we ended up with another Santa-themed family photo -
at least this year I wasn't wearing pink. After we had taken
the photos and were long since done, Sawyer got a bit more
brave and went and spoke with Santa - but was sure to keep
his distance.
Later in the week, as we passed The Gaylord Texan on our
way to hockey, Sawyer mentioned that he wanted to go back
and give Santa a hug, because he didn't do so when he was
there.
