Photo Shoot, Skating And Swimming
Over the weekend we did our annual photo shoot in the
Turtle Creek area of Dallas. As always we now sit waiting to
see the proofs, wondering if there is ANYTHING that will
come out because of course our little man had a mind of his
own and despite efforts to bribe him with getting a Lego
afterwards at Target, he wasn't exactly cooperative. But we
did get a dividend out of the afternoon - he took his first photo
of Mommy and Daddy and though it is missing fill in flash, we
were pretty impressed by the composition - at least the kid
took it from low enough to make our legs look long!
Otherwise, he decided to get into some serious oral hygiene
with four tooth brushes all at once - this was obviously
precipitated by the fact that he couldn't choose which one to
use!
Sawyer continues to have fun in swimming - jumping in with
gusto and always wanting to go first when there is a new
exercise. He heads for the big slide so fast that half the time
he is down it before the teacher even realizes it and trying to
walk and not run on the pool deck is nigh impossible. It's
wonderful to watch.
Hockey, ah hockey - that still leads the pack of favorite things
to do. There isn't an evening where we don't have to wear a
hockey shirt, gloves and of course the beloved helmet. His
skating is coming along and he's even gotten to the point
where he's gliding, looking around and serving as a
"steadier" for his little friends in skate class!
