Haircut, Doctor's Visit, Halloween, Swim and Skating
It was time for Sawyer's 3rd year check up. We could hardly
believe that it had been a full year since we'd been to the
doctor's office - yeah for ear tubes!!! Now aged 3, Sawyer
measured in at 40 inches tall and 44 lbs. That puts him in
the 95th percentile - he's a big kid with an even bigger heart.
He also did very well with all the "milestone questions" the
doctor asked him. Dr. Scott was impressed with his
understanding, ability to explain what things were and his
vocabulary. We'd love to take credit, but we do thing a good
deal of accolades should go to Primrose and being in
school. Regardless, he's our perfect little guy.
That was October 31st and of course later that day we went
to school to see the annual parade of costumes. There are
few things more cute than watching a bunch of little people
walk around in a circle proudly displaying their alter egos.
Sawyer was no different - he once again lead his classroom
- having to be first! Once he was in the line and walking, he
did get a bit shy.
But the irony was our little guy wasn't all that interested in
doing anything other than going to bed. We didn't even go
trick or treating - rather we went straight home and were in
bed an hour early - we're not sure if his shots earlier that day
shot the effort to get more candy but it was all just fine. There
will be plenty of years.
On Friday we were back to the rink. Sawyer continues to be
in his little group class and he is the youngest skater and the
only one on 'rockers" or hockey skates which means there is
no room for balancing error - but he still does well. In fact his
little pals tend to lean on him!
