Christmas Is Coming
Sawyer is really enjoying his "Little Music Makers" class at
school, along with all the Christmas Carols he's singing. He's
even singing songs for other celebrations that happen at this
time of year. But Jingle Bells is definitely his favorite - he wants
us to play it over and over and over again in the car. We're
trying to find as many versions as possible so that we don't go
crazy with the monotony!
Sawyer has been enjoying coloring a lot lately - preferring to
color in the evening over books - well, that's not exactly true, he
wants to do both! He's actually started going to bed a bit later
lately. He's so awake and wound up when he gets home from
school that even dinner and a bath isn't enough to temper the
enthusiasm so he and Daddy have had some great games.
The other night Sawyer's unofficial "Texas Grandmother" gave
Sawyer a wonderful book that becomes a puzzle and has a little
"Tiger-Car-Train" that goes around in a little groove. Daddy and
Sawyer had a ball trying to keep the little Tiger in the groove and
stop it periodically along the path.
His other favorite game is to "chase" one of his friends on the
way home. So when we leave school at the same time as one
of his friends, Sawyer gets excited to "chase" the frinnd in the
car.
