Mom Out All Week, Swim & Skating Lessons
Mommy had to go to a conference this week - after having
been at a conference last week too! But that just meant that
Daddy and Sawyer had some intense "guy time" and Sawyer
got spoiled with new jammies and new toys!
Daddy got Sawyer some Batman, Buzz Light Year and Woody
jammies - which Sawyer adored - we think the cape put
Batman on top - the other two couldn't quite compete with
that.
Per usual, on Thursday he had another swim class with his
pal Peyton, and this time he finally wore fins - he's been
asked to wear them before but he just wouldn't keep them
on. We get reports that he's doing well - he certainly has no
fear and loves the big water slide! He also loves the lessons
and spending time with his "best friend."
And OF COURSE, we had hockey, hockey and more hockey.
He continues with skate lessons and seems to be getting
better. It doesn't hurt that he's got a crush on his skating
teacher, Alicia.
The BEST part of hockey is playing at home in the dining
room - no two ways about that! We spend lots of time playing
hockey with our little man - he could not be more grateful that
we have travertine though out the house.
We are instructed to "stand in the goal" (which happens to be
the bay window in the dining room out to the street.) He's
learning about controlling the ball, and shooting when he's
closer to the goal rather than just whacking at the thing - well,
he's got to learn at some point, doesn't he?
Finally, the little guy has grown 4 inches in 2 months - and
he's in the 95th% for height - yowza!
