Dentist Visit, A New Bike, Converted Bed And Swim Lesson
It was a busy week with a few milestones thrown in. We had
another fun weekend - though it's been crazy-hot. It hasn't
been under 100 degrees in over a week now and it doesn't
look like it's going to get better any time soon.
We did manage to get to the park for a little while - though we
melted in the process.
Sawyer has been doing really well at school and potty
training. He's been learning about the value of money by
doing good deeds and little chores around the house. This
weekend, he took his quarters, pennies dimes and a few
dollars and went and bought himself a "Lego" at Target. He
learned that he didn't have enough money for a big one, but
he was very proud of his purchase - a police car.
We also found a great little bike for him - he still doesn't have
the hang of pedaling and so far likes his trike better because
he can push it on the ground with his feet - but he did like
being on the big boy bike!
We had another visit to the dentist this week - we weren't
sure if he would do well this second time around, but he did
JUST AS WELL as he did the first time. He was proclaimed
"Best Patient Of The Day" - the again he was the first patient
of the day...but he had a great time - the dentist is always fun
with the train out front.
We had another great swim lesson with his BFF for life,
Peyton - the two are a circus, but so much fun to watch.
But the biggest event of the week was converting Sawyer's
bed into a "big boy bed." Our little man is no longer in a crib.
It's hard to believe he's almost 3! He's done pretty well, all
things considered. We've woken a few times at 4:30 a.m. to
a little face right at our bedside, "Mommy, I want breakfast..."
