A Cut Above

We got Sawyer his first pair of scissors - and he loved them.
We are also proud to report that he has all fingers and toes
at the end of the week.  He's actually been very responsible
with them.  He knows that he can only play with them when
Mommy and Daddy are around and to ensure that remains
the case, we obviously keep them out of reach when we're
not around.

He uses both hands for cutting - going back and forth but he
seemed to prefer his left hand though he does most things
with his right.

At the end of the week Brent took Sawyer to the park where
he climbed the last of the challenges - a "rock wall" where
one needs to pull oneself up with a chain.  He could not have
been more thrilled and exclaimed "I did it Daddy! I did it all by
myself!" It's pretty steep and slippery, we think he had every
right to be so proud of himself.

Otherwise we hear cute things about him at school.
Apparently there is a new little boy in the class and Sawyer
has really taken him under his wing, sharing his toys and
making sure that Evan feels welcome and has a smooth
transition.
