Granddad Was Here And The Weather Is Gorgeous!

It was wonderful to have Brent's father in town so Sawyer
could get some good one-on-one with him - they had a great
time playing in the tunnels and "Monster Trucks" upstairs in
the media room.  It's always a treat to play upstairs and
Granddad loves to spoil our little man.  When Granddad left,
there was much sadness and he kept asking when
Granddad would be back.  "He's coming right back Daddy?"

We also got a great opportunity to spend time with Craig,
Stephanie and Andrew.  Andrew, after mastering the piano in
a matter of about 2 years, playing drums in short order is
now planning to tackle the guitar.  He brought it over with his
amp on Saturday and so Sawyer brought out his own guitar
and the two had a good "jam session" - well, as much as you
can have with a two year old and his guitar that plays "The
Bear Went Over The Mountain" nonstop.  Andrew was so
patient.

We are working hard at potty training right now and using the
technique that many have said works best - take him outside
and let it "all hang out."  Not surprisingly, everyone is pretty
right.  He seems to slowly be getting the hang of it - at least
when he's naked and outside - now we just need to find a
way to get that to translate into underwear...one thing at a
time.  We are just very grateful that the weather has been so
good - and we've spent a good deal of time, even in the
afternoons at the park - taking advantage of the time change.

It was St. Patrick's Day this week and we dressed him up in
green plaid shorts, white polo and green vest - the kid was
so adorable it wasn't legal - if we do say so ourselves and
yes, we do.  It was overwhelmingly confirmed by everyone at
school - even the parents.  Unfortunately attempts to get him
to cooperate that morning for a photo were met with great
resistance and as a result, Mommy looks like she's made of
wax in the photos!
