California Partying!
The weekend started while we were still in Southern California
for cousin Nicolette's birthday. The weather was amazing, but
best of all Sawyer got to spend lots of great time with his
cousins. He played soccer at his cousin Anthony's soccer
game, had a sleep over with Aidan, Gracie and Graham - that
was neat stuff - (only problem, the picture Mom took was
horrible so it didn't make the "cut" below) and had a ball at his
cousin Nicolette's first birthday party where he played pin the
tail on the donkey, whacked at a pinata and generally ran
around with all the "big kids" playing with all sorts of toys.
Included in there were not one but TWO new parks, and a
soccer field of course) - and all were outside and enjoyed on
amazingly beautiful days.
Coming home was hard as it was still very cold all week until
Friday. Wednesday was again so cold and the streets so slick
that school was closed. But Sawyer and Mom had a good time
- going out to eat and being the only ones in the restaurant and
then spending the afternoon working on our golf game in the
dining room. It was quite a fun and special day - but admittedly
we both missed Dad.
Best quote of the week was said on Thursday night:
"The moon Mommy!... It's NOT ours."
