Christmas Day And New Year's Eve

Christmas was special this year because we also had
Nicolette - Kate's brother Russ's new daughter Nicolette with
the rest of the gang.

He had lots of fun with his Pie and Papa and of course with this
cousins Aidan, Gracie and Graham - so much so that he would
talk about it for weeks.

After Christmas we had a few short days at home before
heading off to Atlanta on the 30th to ring in the new year. The
31st was wonderful - we had great weather and spent almost
the entire day outside. We went to the city's arboretum where
they had a great children's section. We also had a great run
around the city's park.

We then went off to Stone Mountain Park - a sort of mini
amusement park a the base of this huge rock formation on
which someone has carved a relief - see the pages about
Atlanta for the details.

Sawyer loved riding the train all the way around the mountain -
it was a Christmas Carol sing along. Sawyer was too
enraptured with being on the train to think about singing
however.

He had difficulty falling asleep that night - but partly because he
loved his Pack 'N Play and would eventually realize that he
could climb in and out of it. We only hop he doesn't realize that
he can do that at home in his crib. We're surprised he hasn't
figured it out yet.
