Family

Christmas Is Coming!
It was a busy few days before we left for California to spend
the holiday with family back "home." Sawyer, as always,
enjoyed the fray - packing, presents, wrapping paper and
Christmas decorations provide for some neat "exploration
of the world."
There was also some "exploration" we weren't too terribly
keen on like the fascination with the fire place.
He began his transition from the "Baby Room" to across the
hall into the "Young Toddler Room" - probably the biggest
step they make at school and the teachers report he's done
very well. He really loves the interaction and playing outside
- in fact so much so that one day this week when Kate went
to pick him up he cried when he couldn't go back into his
new room to play.
Sawyer seems to love music, but when you couple it with
animated, Hallmark, holiday "sit-abouts" it's fun beyond
compare - especially because he can press the buttons to
make the little characters come to life. He "dances" along
to the music (not quite the "White Man's Overbite" but pretty
funny all the same,) however, much like his books, he
doesn't seem to like to see them come to an end, so just
before the music stops, so does his interest and he moves
on to the next.
