Sawyer Turns 2!
This week we had the official 2-year check up which Sawyer
of course "passed with flying colors." He's 36" tall and 37
pounds - so he's in the 90th percentile - our big boy!
He didn't mind the 3 shots all that much, per usual, and he
didn't even mind the prick on his thumb and the nurse
squeezing it to get a small sample of blood but he REALLY
didn't appreciate the Band-aid on his thumb! He kept ripping
it off and blood got all over him (and we worked to be sure it
didn't get all over us) as a result. It took him quite a while to
calm down from his frustration and Daddy had to let Sawyer
"drive" for several minutes before Sawyer would agree to get
in his car seat and go to school.
At school Sawyer seems to be having lots of fun in his new
room, but we think his enthusiasm may be turning out to be
a bit too much to handle for his "Pull-Ups." He's come home
in different clothes almost every day. One day they didn't
have a change of clothes so they sent him home in a long
shirt - which looked like a big orange dress - hate to admit,
but he actually seemed to love it...comfy we presume.
Sawyer continues to love the park and this week we've
continued to experience beautiful, autumn, weather, so he
got several chances to go. He loves to climb and has no
fear - it's just climbing down that is pretty tricky.
