Playing With Friends
This weekend we had the pleasure of connecting with our
friends from Gymboree, the Daulerios. Sawyer's pals are a
couple of twins, Grace and Owen. They now have a new
little sister Lilly - who is gorgeous and so enviably mellow.
Perhaps it's because she has to be with two very active
twins. Sawyer had a great time playing with their toys and
we all had fun at dinner. We were so impressed by how
well behaved the twins were - and how nicely they shared
their toys. Sawyer veritably attacked the toys which earned
Sawyer the apt nickname "Bam Bam" from the Flintstones.
Sawyer has been studying animals at school and he has
consequently become very attached to both is bear and his
monkey. The other night he was not happy to go home until
Daddy promised that he could have dinner with monkey.
Brent had thought that would mean putting the monkey in
the fourth chair at the table. However, Sawyer had different
ideas - monkey sat on the table and actually had dinner
himself! It was adorable to watch Sawyer feed his little
friend - and it was hilarious to watch Brent and Kate try to
make sure the monkey didn't get covered in food. We did
have to put our collective foot down when Sawyer wanted
Monkey to join him in the bath.
Sawyer so obviously wants to grow up to be just like his
Daddy - he loves nothing more than being Brent's helper!
