What He Learns At School...
School has really resumed - we didn't realize that they really
take Summer Vacation seriously at Primrose - even for the
toddlers. Consequently, we've really seen an acceleration
in Sawyer's alphabet (he gets about 2/3 of it), his counting
(he can easily count to 10 - though he does like to exchange
4 with 6 on occasion), his colors he has down cold and his
shapes are really pretty impressive.
But possibly the cutest thing we've seen this week, is not
something that is really "school-year-related" but more
school-learned. Namely, Sawyer likes to pat his daddy's
back when Brent is trying to get a few extra "zzzzs" in the
morning before school. It's actually very sweet - until he
announces that Daddy needs to "turn over" and put his
"head down." At which point he rubs and pats Brent's back.
Sometimes the patting can feel a bit like a shiatsu
massage, but his heart's in the right place. It's both
adorable and hilarious.
School is now having them drink exclusively out of cups - no
sippy cups any longer - so Sawyer will only accept milk in a
sippy - all of his water MUST be from a cup, or better yet, a
bottle!
Bath time is still the best when bubbles are involved -
Lawrence Welk eat your heart out!
