Pie and Papa Are Here...Let's Party!
Kate's parents came to visit and stay with Sawyer while
Brent and Kate headed off to Italy for some "grown up,
Mommy and Daddy time away."
While Mommy and Daddy were away, our little mouse
certainly played! Sawyer has started potty training and Pie
and Papa are a good deal more lenient and liberal with
allowing him to run around naked - needless to say, he
LOVED IT.
We were hoping that Pie, an amazing cook, would be able
to broaden our little guy's palette but to no avail. Kate
actually felt better - if Pie couldn't get him to eat a vegetable,
then it simply isn't possible.
He learned to do "Cheers!" at the dinner table - so that's
been lots of fun. He's also learned, "On your mark, get set,
go!" He apparently ran up and down the patio in the back
yard for about 15 minutes straight until he was exhausted
and dripping with sweat.
Pie and Papa were exceedingly impressed with Sawyer's
ability to stay on his feet - balancing on one foot, running
over uneven ground and climbing and coming down stairs
without so much as a hand on the rail. We felt proud!
