New Train Table
Sawyer's Pie and Papa Petrie got Sawyer a train table
partially because they are coming to visit while Brent and
Kate go to Italy, but mostly because Pie adores trains and
all of her grandsons have as well. It was a great guess -
Sawyer adores it!
Sawyer's other great love these days are "Marbles" which is
an erector set type of system. You build a course for a
marble to roll down along. Dad helped Sawyer build the
track and Sawyer places the marble on the track to watch it
roll down. It's great fun. The other treat about "Marbles" is
that the set is upstairs so this has become Sawyer and
Dad's special time.
We got into the pool some this weekend as the heat has
just not let up this summer. It's always hot at this time, so
we should be used to it by now. But it's always a great
opportunity to splash. Sawyer can kick his legs but still
can't really "swim" per se, but he does end up drinking a lot
of water - we know that because the following morning
Mommy not only needs to wash his jammies but his sheets
and blankies as well!
Finally, Sawyer no longer wants to drink from his sippy or
through a straw - he's pretty good at it...
