Water, Water, Everywhere
We started the week with a very hot, 4th of July
long-weekend. We didn't manage to see fireworks this year
because Sawyer is in bed and asleep long before it gets
dark (anywhere between 7:00-7:20.) So we had to settle for
listening to them as they went off over Grapevine lake near
our house - ironically enough they were set off at the exact
same time as the Disneyland fireworks - 9:35!
On Monday the 5th, Sawyer and Dad worked hard together
in the garage and the yard to get the 4th of July things put
away. To help cool things down, Brent brought out the big
bubble wand and made enormous bubbles that were lots
of fun to chase - the soapy water was equally fun to play in
and even sweep away once it got overturned. In that
process we discovered that Sawyer can now climb the
extremely steep stairs/ladder to the attic! With Dad's careful
eye upon him he climbed all the way to the top with great
alacrity - chip off the ole block!
The rest of the week it rained every day but that did cool
things down a bit, which was nice and he was still able to
play outside at school - just meant the clothes required a bit
more Spray 'N Wash!
