Patriotic Week
We started the week by going to Oklahoma on Friday night
with a quick turnaround and got back at 2:00 in the morning
on Saturday night/Sunday morning. Sawyer was a real little
trooper - we were so proud.
As the week went on we actually had "cooler" weather
because we got some serious rain storms that came
through, but that didn't stop our little sunshine from being
on the go.
We've discovered that a little bit of Benadryl allows Sawyer
to sleep better - we believe it's because he's getting more
oxygen and therefore a more restful sleep. He has
therefore picked up on the Zulu work for medicine, "muti."
This is a term Kate's family has used for years and it's so
adorable to hear the little guy say it.
He's starting to take an interest in the potty (only AFTER he
has gone, but still...) But he remains the most enamoured
with bikes, motorcycles and trucks - able to spot one when
only a fraction of it is showing or it wizzes past.
For the 4th of July holiday school had red, white and blue
day. We decided our little guy was the cutest patriot of all.
