Summer Is Here!
Spring has quickly left and summer is upon us -
temperatures have been in the upper 90's already.
Consequently, we are doing as many summer activities as
possible - notably using the pool again. Of course, we also
want the little guy to learn how to swim - he really does love
the water.
This week we also had Brent's company's summer picnic.
In true Advancial style there was lots to do and lots of
people who came - we had a ball and of course Sawyer
was given lots of attention - especially because all three of
us matched with white shirts and blue patch-work shorts.
We only wish we could get Sawyer to wear a cap - but he
still refuses even though Daddy is his idol and faithfully
wears one during the summer. (Don't worry, we're keeping
the little guy well "lubed up" with sunscreen.)
School has become more like summer camp for the next
few months so there should be some fun pictures coming
out of that. Splash Day is the first - he looked adorable in
his little bathing suit - quite the "surfer dude."
Finally, at the end of the week we took off and headed to
Denver for Kate's great friend's 40th birthday party. We got
lucky in that one of Sawyer's former teachers - whom
Sawyer really liked in particular - has left Primrose and is
now working elsewhere so she was able to "moonlight"
and come watch him for the weekend - he loved it!

Erin And Sawyer Read Before Bed
We headed to Denver, Colorado for a 40th birthday party
and decided to let Sawyer stay at home. So we got his
former teach to come look after him.
Sawyer Is Ready For Splash Day At School
Summer is treated more as "day camp" than
"school" so there are several fun activities.
Splash day, the kids get to go and essentially
run through a sprinkler to start the day off a bit
cooler, given it's over 90 degrees by 10:00 a.m.
Sliding At The Park
It Was Cool To Stand On The Park Monument Sign
Sawyer LOVES To Drive
He prefers the real car, but this will do.
Sawyer On And His Morning Blueberries
We've noticed that mornings are a lot better if
we start them not just with a sippy of milk but
a few blueberries as well! His favorite.
