Family

Christmas Week Was Filled With Fun
We started it by taking the last chance we had to have
Sawyer get a photo with Santa - we went back to the Gaylord
Texan - where we had gone last year. Sawyer did pretty well
- he didn't cry because he was scared, just because he
wanted to get off of Santa's lap and go play! Brent tried to
run him around at the hotel looking at the trains ahead of
time while Kate waited in line. It was pretty good team work,
as usual!
That evening we went to our good friends the Griesbachs
for some dinner and lots of great company.
We traveled to California, as we normally do, to celebrate
Christmas with our families. We had a ball at Kate's
parents' annual open house, where lots of kids played with
Sawyer - lots of older kids - he loved it! He also made a
good friend with the one little person who was younger than
he - Mark.
Then Christmas Eve we were with Sheffields as usual and
took the opportunity to enjoy the great weather and get
outside and play at the park. Though we were due to be
with Petries on Christmas day, it turned out Kate's mom
had the flu so we headed back to Sheffields for some video
fun - Rudolph and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town.
Sawyer spent the few days he was at school mostly in the
young toddler room - his progress with his signs and his
general understanding has been amazing. He's growing
up so quickly - but it's so much fun!

Second Year For A Picture With Santa
We waited for an hour to finally see Santa. Sawyer hates
being confined to any space and that included Santa's lap.
Lucky for us the photographer snapped this quickly.
