First Week As A One-Year Old
We had beautiful weather on Saturday and Sunday
(otherwise we've had lots of rain) so we took advantage of it
and spent both Saturday and Sunday at different parks near
the house.
Saturday we went back to our old neighborhood, but on
Sunday we went to another park that has a neat "flooring"
so we didn't get muddy despite the saturated earth.
Sawyer started drinking from a straw last week and this
week we got it on film with the girls from McAllister's helping
out - he liked Dad's lemonade! Yum!
He also discovered the wonders of drinking fountains for
the first time - lots of water up the nose, but we think at least
some if it went down the throat.
Brent received several large birthday cards that play music
when you open them. Sawyer loves to open them to hear
the music and then will dance to them. One plays the "Star
Wars" theme, another plays "The Hampster Dance Song"
and the third one is a Peanut's card that plays "Linus And
Lucy." Sawyer has been giving them a workout, but they are
all still working despite all the drool.
