Our Little Boy - Baby No More
It remained cold and wet and rainy - though it was a bit
muggy on Thursday, it went from 96 on Thursday to the low
50's on Friday - welcome to Texas!
Sawyer seems to be just that much more engaged - and
he's always on the move - constant motion. He's got two
speeds: "Fast" and Fall."
Dad was out of town Wednesday morning to Friday
afternoon - so Mom and Sawyer had some great "Mommy
and Me" time.
This week Pie and Papa came on Thursday to be here on
Friday for his actual birthday. We managed to tear ourselves
away for another photo shoot at Kiddie Kandids - but they
aren't that great because Sunday he got "butchered" at the
"Cool Cuts" salon - we're still not sure if the woman was
actually blind - and Sawyer had been so good, sitting still for
the hair cut.
Despite best efforts, Mom wasn't able to hide the fact that
Sawyer's hair cut was horrible - so Dad didn't like his
"surprise" of portraits of his baby boy on his actual
birthday...bummer. Mom still thinks he's adorable.
Week Fifty One
Ready To Head Off To School And Work
Trying To Keep It A Family Show
Sawyer loves to stand in the "tub" which not
only gets us a bit concerned but makes it
tough to get PG-rated pics.
Still A Bit Groggy
Sawyer plays in Mom and Dad's closet while
they try to get ready for work and ensure he
doesn't go on "Walkabout" around the house.
More Bath-Time Fun
Sharing Dinner With Papa
Sawyer feeds himself and then feeds Papa - mostly he
feeds himself of course. Then the two have a very in depth
conversation, as you can see..
I Think I Got It Pie! Love This New Top!
So It Actually Looks Like A Soccer Ball!
Yes, we were as amazed as anyone.
Sawyer First Birthday Cake
Mom prepares Sawyer's cake in advance since there is a
lot to do before the party.
Kate Makes Sawyer's Cake
Having Fun At Dad's Office
Sawyer loves to do "sit-ups" with Daddy - but
only if he can "fly" in the process.
Round And Round The Mulberry Bush
Pie plays a long-time favorite with her children
and other grandchildren - it always ends in a
good tickle followed by great giggles of course.
Auntie Stephanie Sheffield Gives Sawyer A
Lemon - Despite The Face He Liked It
Having Breakfast At School
Sawyer loves eating his, blueberries,
raspberries and protein cakes mom makes
him.
Sawyer's Great At "Helping" Mom In The Kitchen
"I Can Make Daddy Do The Raspberry
Sound!"
Pie's Grandson and Granddog
Pippin definitely loves it when Pie and Papa come to visit
because he always gets lots of attention - and someone
helps keep Sawyer at a safe distance - Sawyer and Pippin
are great friends though.
