Family
We're Off To Another Hemisphere!
These two weeks saw a lot of great firsts for Sawyer. It was
the first time he went to another country - and he went to 2
of them! First to London's Heathrow Airport (where he
spent 6 hours hanging out with Pie and Papa) then to
South Africa where he met his extended family on his
mommy's side.
Though we were a little nervous for 4 plane rides of more
than 11 hours each, Sawyer did extremely well. When we
boarded the plane, each time those around us tensed, but
when we landed we invariably had at least 3 to 4 people
who said, "That was the best baby" or "That was a really
quiet baby," so we felt very proud of our little man.
Sawyer also had his first day on the beach and did a great
job sleeping in a strange cot/play pen. It was a marvelous
trip and we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
