Toys Are More Fun Now

Well Sawyer did not make it to school in week 19. Mom
took him to work Monday through Wednesday because he
was congested, then stayed home with him because she
was sick on Thursday, and Friday he HAS to make an
appearance!

He's really anticipate things - he starts to giggle BEFORE
you actually tickle him and he's reaching for things more
and more - and of course, they all go straight into the
mouth.  This is such a fantastic age - we're really loving it.

This week has been about preparing for the big plane ride
to South Africa to visit his Popop van Selm (Kate's
maternal grandfather) for his 90th birthday. Kate went to
Popop's dad's 90th when Kate was 8, so it's a neat "circle
of life" we're making happen.  Wish us luck - it's going to
be 2 big plane rides, first to London then to Cape Town!
