Paddlewheel Riverboat

The General Jackson Showboat is a 300-foot-long vessel
styled in the grand tradition of the paddlewheel riverboats that
cruised the great Southern waterways in the 1800s.  This
showboat has four decks which offer a variety of dining and
entertainment options while cruising the Cumberland River in
Nashville, Tennessee. We sat in the main dining area and
watched the Tim Watson Country Show on the main stage.
Ready To Cruise Along The Cumberland River
The General Jackson launched near our hotel.
Dining In The Main Dining Room
We had seats for the show which included lunch, but the
buffet lunch did not provide options that suited us. We were
glad we grabbed something at the Opryland Mills Mall
before we launched.
Dining Room and Stage
Waiting for lunch and the Tim Watson Country Show.
Downtown Nashville
We had a wonderful view of the downtown skyline.
Look Ma, No Hands!
These jetski riders launched themselves off
the boat's wake most of the ride down the
river which was fun to watch.
