Clingmans Dome - 6,643 ft

Clingmans Dome is at the highest point in the Great Smoky
Mountains at 6,643 ft. It also the second highest point east of
the Mississippi River. Only North Carolina's Mt. Mitchell (6,684
feet) rises higher.

Vistas from Clingmans Dome are spectacular. On clear,
pollution-free days, views expand over 100 miles and into
seven states.

Dome. The camera almost fell to the ground on this picture
as Brent got back to it just in time to save it.
