In The Middle Of The Herd
Custer State Park in the beautiful Black Hills is full of lush
forests, quiet and serene meadows and majestic mountains.
This 71,000-acre park is also home to one of the world's
largest publicly-owned bison herds, 1,500 strong. As we were
driving through it returning to our lodge for the evening, we ran
right into this huge herd coming over a ridge and crossing the
road.
