Oh Say Can You See By The Dawn's Early Light?
Fort McHenry is best known for the fact that watching its burning
during the War of 1812 inspired a lawyer and clergyman, Francis
Key Scott, to pen The Star Spangled Banner, which would of
course become the National Anthem of the United States of
America.
We had a blast exploring the old fort, climbing on its canons,
going down into the barricades where they stored the gun powder,
and taking a peak in the old barracks. It was a great place to
stretch our legs before our plane trip back to Dallas.
