Disneyland Meets Poncho's Mexican Buffet with Cliff Diving
No, we couldn't make this one up.
One of Denver's "best known landmarks" and self proclaimed
"most exciting restaurant in the world." After waiting in a queue
that was reminiscent of Disneyland - not just in length but in
the back and fourth style, we were seated - we luckily arrived
early enough to be seated by the waterfall. So we had front row
seats for both the "cliff diving" and the "gun fight." But we
decided to call it quits when the gorilla made its debut.
This rather charming spot hosts loads of birthday parties - we
suspect most for people who have yet to hit double digits. The
place is massive. We went into a "mine," walked some
charming fake Spanish streets, saw the back side of water and
were serenaded by two gentlemen with a small amplifier.
It was wonderful!
