Floating Above The City Streets...
Though not the tallest tower in the world by a long shot (there is
actually a listing of them in the elevator that you can see on the
way up, Calgary Tower has one of the coolest features ever - a
plexiglass floor that juts out from the rest of the tower and when
you stand on it you get a distinct feeling of vertigo and a rush.
Both we, and a gaggle of Japanese tourists spent a great deal
of time hanging out and taking various photos - we just couldn't
get enough!
Look Mom! No Hands!
Walking On Air
And not just because she's so happy!
At Sunset
Thankfully Brent still had energy at the end of
the day because he managed to get back out
and take some wonderful shots of the tower.
The Base Of The Tower
The Tower is located in the heart of a booming arts district
of Calgary right in the center of town.
The Base of the Tower
We never really did get used to being able to see through
the floor to the streets below - it's a weird feeling!
Our Hotel
It sure does look different from up here!
Room With A View
Once again Brent managed to get us a great room - this
shot was taken from our window. When we arrived in the
evening we couldn't wait for the next morning to up - we
weren't disappointed!
