Live Music and Dancing Under the Stars!
Besides celebrating Brent's birthday, we were in Southern
California to celebrate Kate's Dad's 70th! Wow, it was hard to
believe Clarence had reached the milestone - he certainly
doesn't look (or act) like it - what an inspiration.
While we were there Kate's folks invited us to Kate's favorite
summer-activity: a night at the Hollywood Bowl. We listened
while the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra and Cheap Trick recreated
The Beatles "Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band" album
for the first time live. We loved it - not so sure Clarence and
Justine did though...
Justine threw Clarence a party befitting of the occasion where
we enjoyed the same band from our wedding and lots of
dancing and general carrying-on. It was a great opportunity to
get caught up with lots of people we haven't seen since we got
married and what a fabulous opportunity to have the whole
family together.
We're only sorry it was just for one night. Thanks Pie!
Looking Like The Warner Brothers Cartoon
They lit the Bowl up like the Warner Brothers Cartoon
symbol as the lead singer of Gomez, Cheap Trick and the
Hollywood Orchestra played "Strawberry Fields Are Forever."

Clarence Still Has That Razzle Dazzle
In 1978 when Kate's family moved to California, her dad
did the number Razzle Dazzle from the show Chicago at
their country club with 2 ladies who both attended.
Clarence And Pie Center Stage
Kate's parents take to the dance floor,
dancing to their song "Under the Sea."
His Razzle Dazzle Partners
The brunette in pink and black (Mrs. Sigler) and the blond
all in white (Mrs. Dymond) were his partners in crime!
Kate With Her Good Friend Deborah Sedghi
While in Southern California, we couldn't miss the
opportunity to catch up with Kate's close pal Deb.

The Fairy Garden
Kate's mom is known for her garden, but
since the addition of grandchildren, her
interests have added whimsy. All three
grandchildren couldn't wait to show us Pie's
Fairy Garden - they love it!
